On Tuesday April 15, 2008 Elite A/V took on a customer’s whole house audio system in Plano, Texas. The client had a particular place that they wanted to put the gear and wanted a great sound system without breaking the bank. Elite A/V was up to the job. The client’s home was pre-wired by another company, so we were required to move all the cables to the correct location, requested by the customer. As you can see from the picture below, the cables were not inside the cabinet where the customer could keep the aesthetics of their home.
Elite A/V takes the time, to put down blankets to protect the floors and to prevent dirt and dust from going everywhere. This is an added step that we think separates us from our competition. By putting all of the equipment and tools on these blankets it prevents scratches to floors or stains on carpets. Below is a picture of the procedure that we use before we start.
After the setup process Elite A/V decided that we needed to move the cables from the location above the cabinet to the enclosed area below. This kept the integrity of the room. We moved the cables down and put a downspout over the hole (pictured below) because it (downspout cover) makes the attractiveness of the installation much greater.
We installed a plate over the previous hole in the cabinet (made by the company that pre-wired the home). This helped the appearance of the hole disappear.
There was also another problem that we ran into in this Plano, TX home. The under cabinet area had no a/c power plug. Luckily for Elite A/V we have Justin. Justin is a licensed electrician and was able to add an additional outlet down below (shown below). This whole house audio system was starting to take shape now.
Now we had the all the wires and power needed to make this dream system a reality. We installed a Denon receiver, Russound 6 zone speaker selector, Parasound 2×125 amplifier, and a nice Denon CD/DVD player. We ran a cable from the cable box in the living room into the receiver as well, which will allow the family to listen to the television sound.
