Earlier in the month we did a installation in Plano TX where our customer wanted to build a custom home theater. Keeping a budget in mind we went into the design process and came up with a solution that would Perform at a high level and Remain inside his budget.

Lets just start out by saying we do upwards of 50 Full blown home theater installs a year and this one was one of our most challenging. Our customer resided in Plano TX and we needed to complete this room on the second story.
For some crazy reason the previous owner of this house did not choose to have it prewired when the house was built which made it rather difficult. The front wall where the Screen and front speakers were installed was a exterior load baring wall. Same with the side wall where the equipment was being place. On top of that our only attic space had enough clearance to crawl threw and was half coverd by a Air Condition Unit. Because of this the wiring process was a MAJOR chore.
This picture shows the wiring being completed and the speakers in place. It also shows the carpet ripped out and the room pretty much gutted.
This was my first time dealing with the Triad speaker. Let me say I am very happy I picked the line up. They feature very high end drivers and a back box which mimics a very high end tower speaker. I could not of been happier with the sound of these speakers for their price.
Another thing that separates us is our ability to design and build custom home theater subwoofers. Last year we launched our business Now Home Theater which specializes in building Very High end subwoofer solutions. Because of this we had the ability to custom design a subwoofer setup that would hide in the room under the riser we were building.
For those wondering how they sound. They are amazing, they have more output then dual Velodyne DD 15′s while maintaining great Sound Quality.
Next came the build process of the riser. We constructed a riser for the 2nd row of seating to sit on and the subwoofers to sit under. Here you see a picture of it being built before the carpet was laid on top of it.
Almost complete. We have the walls painted, Sconces up, Chairs in place and the Screen on the wall. All that is left is wiring up the equipment in the closet.
All complete. Here are the final pictures of everything in place. As you can see from the pictures the riser is covered and the subwoofers are in place.
Because of the difficulty of this project it made for one of our most rewarding builds. The triad speakers sounded great and Dual woofers under the seats made for a incredible listening experience. It really pulls you into the movie because you feel EVERY THING!
